What is the Savvy Website Jumpstart?
The Jumpstart program is a 4 step self-paced online course that gives you the skills and support you need to create a website that reflects the real you and will increase your profits.
It’s aimed at entrepreneurs, small business owners and anyone who wants to do things the right way, the first time.
How long will it take me to complete my new website?
The program will be delivered over 6 weeks to give you time to complete each important step without being overwhelmed. Each module contains 3 to 4 lessons with short videos and a workbook, which most people will be able to complete in an hour or two. Some modules will take longer, depending on how far along you already are with your branding and content.
Creating content is always the most time-consuming aspect of building a website, so additional time is allowed for the Content That Converts modules to ensure you have everything prepared before you start to Build & Launch!
How much time will it take me each week to complete the program?
This depends very much on each individual, but as a rough guide, around three to four hours per week should be sufficient to put all the foundations in place, although you may need additional time to complete writing your content.
What happens after I sign up?
Once you’ve completed the check-out process, you will be redirected to the Savvy Website Jumpstart membership page. Please watch the introductory video first, make sure you join the private Facebook community, then the first modules will be waiting for you to jump right in!
You will also receive an email confirming your enrolment, and you’ll get a further email within the next couple of days with the details of what we need to set up your Starter Kit.

I really could just do this myself, couldn’t I?
Yes you sure could! You just need to arrange hosting, learn how to use cPanel (the hosting backend admin area), install and configure WordPress, then purchase, install and configure your theme and plugins, then create your pages from scratch, etc, etc.

What payment options do you provide for clients?
We offer a simple check-out process using Stripe as our payment gateway. Direct deposit is also available if preferred, please get in touch if you would like to request this option.
The program has an up-front payment option as well as a payment plan with 3 instalments.
How can I contact you if I need help?
The program includes access to a private Facebook group where you can get all your questions answered plus ongoing tips and tutorials. This group allows others to share ideas and feedback and help out as well.
I can also be contacted via email, and I will do my best to get back to you within 24 hours on weekdays, either with a direct answer or with a short screencast video.
Do I need to buy a domain?
Yes, you will need to purchase a domain – I recommend Conetix for domains, as they have good pricing, an easy-to-use console for domain management, and excellent customer service.
A domain should cost you around $20 per year.
Do I need to arrange hosting and install WordPress?
WordPress is installed and configured as part of the initial starter site included in the program.
Your starter kit includes the essential WordPress plugins you need for security, spam filtering, backup and performance.
The program includes 12 months hosting with an Australian hosting provider, with a free SSL certificate included. After the first year, hosting can be renewed for $220 per year, or you are free to move your site to another host if you wish.
What sort of things can I add to my website?
WordPress allows you to add just about anything to your website. Here are just some things you can easily add:
- Social media links and sharing buttons
- Location maps (Google Maps)
- Contact forms
- Email opt-in forms
- Sliders for images and posts
- Image gallery
- Click to call phone number
- Embed YouTube or Vimeo videos
I’m really not tech-savvy - will I be able to do this?
All of the really techie stuff is taken care of for you – hosting, installation and configuration of WordPress, plus your 12-page starter site with the Divi theme installed.
The Divi theme includes a simple drag & drop visual builder, which is super easy to customise.
The tutorials and guides give you step-by-step instructions that will guide you through each step of customising the starter site with your own branding and content. These include video lessons, workbooks and checklists.
What if I already have a website?
If you already have a website and you wish to keep it up and running until your new site is ready to launch, I can arrange a ‘staging’ area for you to complete the program, and then help you to redirect your domain to the new site when you’re ready to launch.
How do I maintain my website after I’ve completed the program?
You’ll have access to a bonus lesson which will give you all the information and confidence you need to ensure your site is safe and secure going forward.

What if I find it all just too hard?
If you’re really struggling to find the time or the patience to get it all done and would just like someone to get it done and dusted for you, this can be arranged for a reasonable fee, less the price you’ve already paid for the program.
You’ll need to provide all of your content, including text and images, for all sections of the website. Please get in touch for further details.
